A Lasting Impact: The Alums Study
For years, we’ve seen the impact of Girls on the Run in real time. Now, we have the research to show what lasts. We’re excited to announce Lasting Impact: The Girls on the Run Alums Study — a landmark, third-party research effort that strengthens evidence of the long-term impact of our program.

Years after completing the program, alums report higher confidence levels, meaningful social connections, and social-emotional skills that they continue to use as they navigate middle school. At an age when academic pressure is on the rise and self-confidence and physical activity often decline; these findings are powerful proof that the lessons learned at Girls on the Run stick with our participants years later.
